Ten years ago today, my beloved wife and best friend Sandy crossed the rainbow bridge... calmly, gently, peacefully... free at last of the pain in her withered earthly vessel that had been frozen for 14 years by the paralysis of ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease). As she left, she smiled softly, her gaunt face radiant with Light. It was a moment emblematic of how she had lived this life... overflowing with unconditional love, playful joy, and divine grace... inspiring, heartening and enlivening everyone. Her spirit was indomitable, courageous, unflinching, always present to the life and lessons of each moment. Even the fleeting moments of sadness, grief, depression, despair, frustration... she embraced them all as part of the magnificent human journey. I was and am profoundly grateful to have been her husband, partner and caregiver. Yes, I had to do and give far more than I ever imagined I could. Yet, what I gave was relatively minuscule compared to what I received. I shall always feel blessed and honored to have served Sandy, who was an embodiment of the Divine Feminine. Blessings of Peace and Love to her, today and always. In memory of and tribute to Sandy, my wisest teacher, I invite you to enjoy the wonder of oneness, as offered in this brief video with philosopher and metaphysicist Alan Watts. Namaste.
