Ten years ago today, the worst week of my life continued as I sat in the hospital with my mother as she passed away. It was three days, almost to the minute, after my fathers death. I will never forget the kindness and compassion shown to me by the nurses there, both that night and in the preceding months. And that is how I remember my mother - her kindness and compassion. She asked for little for herself, and the best for everyone else. She may have left us ten uears ago, but her memory will always be with me.
