Texas Canyon Area~ Motorists traveling on westbound Interstate 10 will encounter a lane closure west of Texas Canyon on Wednesday, July 24 while the Arizona Department of Transportation continues paving operations. The left lane of westbound I-10 will be closed from 4 a.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday approximately five miles east of Benson to allow crews to pave a one-mile segment of highway. The posted speed limit will be reduced approaching the area the two-lane interstate will be reduced to one lane. The work is part of a project to repave a 14-mile segment of westbound I-10 between the Johnson Road traffic interchange (Exit 322) and the east side of Benson. The project also includes improvements to the westbound exit at Dragoon Road (Exit 319), which has required a left lane closure that will remain in place until early August.
