Texas Friends who could benefit from Medical Cannabis and/or have family members who could~ It is time to start preparing for the 2015 Legislative Session. If you are willing to set up an appointment with your TX Legislators and would like someone to attend the meeting with you, please contact Max Davidson, Dean Bortell, Melanie Johnson Sawford, or myself as we have flexible schedules and would be happy to attend with you. We have found that 1 in-person meeting is as or more effective than 100 emails or letters. Also if you are interested in hosting a strategy meeting for you part of TX, please contact me about scheduling. So far, we have strategy and empowerment meetings set up for Aug 30th and Sept 5th in the DFW area. PACT (Patient Alliance for Cannabis Therapeutics) also hold monthly gatherings in the Austin area and we will soon be having mock hearings at the Capitol (and other parts of TX) so patients, caregivers, and parents can become as comfortable as possible with the format and giving testimonies before the Medical Bill is scheduled for its hearing.
