Texted the following to our House of Representative Dustin Roberts. I encourage you to do the same to your Rep. Representative Dustin Roberts, This is Mike Palmer, Silo High School. I am a 3rd generation educator. My grandfather was a Superintendent. Grandmother was a teacher. My dad was a teacher. Now I have 32 years in education. My wife is a teacher of 31 years. I also have 2 daughters that are teachers as are their husbands. I have 5 grandchildren, 2 of them in Bryan County. Oklahoma is in dire need of funding for education. We have been for quite some time. Im not sure how much money Silo has lost in the last 6 years, but its substantial. Im sure Dr. Caruthers could give you the number. We need textbooks and materials, equipment, more teachers for programs that were preciously cut, and a teacher salary increase. Im asking that you please vote vote YES tomorrow on 2642 and support our school systems. THANK YOU!
