Th, is is regarding the case of Achyutananda Das, mentioned by AK Das. These are very interesting details, which clearly point out to the inherent caste discrimination against each lower caste candidate and for every upper caste candidate in all selections including those made through UPSC. In fact all sorts of such prejudices are and having been traditionally taught by Brahmanas through their monopoly over all religious ceremonies, in all households of Dvijas, namely, Brahmanas, Kshatriyas and Vaisyas, from birth to death. Every such ceremony begins with the Rig Veda mantra, known as PurushSookta, incidentally indicating that it was the creation of purushas (men)as against strees (women), which “explains” the creation of four Varnas (ridiculously) out of different limbs of imaginary Brahma. Analytically speaking, only Vaisyas can be understood to have born in a natural way out of urus (reproductary organs). Interestingly, Brahmanas are said to have been born out of the mouth of Brahma. Normally, only vomiting is known to come out of mouth, which is more nauseating than human excreta. Kshatriyas and Sudras have been described to have been unnaturally born out of the arms and feet respectively. In the Gita, the four Varnas have been stated to have been born in that order and fashion, by Lord Krishna, in his capacity as God. Non-compliance of any dictate of God is sure to lead one to perennial hell, since it is regarded adharma or as being against dharma. Such prejudices are sent down the throat of every Hindu male through Samskara ceremonies, whose number is normally stated as 16 although some of the Puranas raise their number to 40. The first samskara is known as garbhadana samskara or the ceremony known as one concerning conception of a child. This tends to make the very function of mating as public, carefully supervised by a Brahmana. Such a situation surely turns all Dvijas as mere slaves of tradition of sticking to all sorts of prejudices for or against particular castes and individuals belonging to any of the castes etc. irrespective of the latter’s position under the Constitution of India. In another sense, all constitutional provisions including those concerning affirmative action aimed at raising the levels of the castes and classes, in the face of the latter’s facing man-made exploitative, oppressive and suppressive actions and techniques of upper castes directed against the lower sections, in compliance of the so-called dictates of dharma and God. In the light of the above background, the prejudicial behaviour of all Hindus for or against has the backing of religion which enjoys the position of being superior to Constitution of India. The type of the prejudices mentioned by A K Das have surely existed and shall continue to exist as long as the present position of Constitution of India permitting the propagation of all religions continues in the present form. Even this Constitutional position is known to few whereas the Hindu religious position is being hammered on the ears of all upper castes number of times every month. Almost every selection of candidates for any post under the government is bound to confirm and conform to the type of the stated prejudice. As such, no purpose is likely to be served by the type of the disclosures made in the instant message on Facebook. Hindu minds, under the impact of varnaasrama dharma, can be compared to stones on which rules of traditional prejudices stand permanently engraved. In support of the concerned disclosures, my own selection in PCS examination conducted by Public Service Commission, Punjab, in 1957, presents interesting facts confirming similar tales of prejudices. My own selection exhibits an interesting story of both my failure and success. My selection had become possible simply because I had been able to successfully expose the designs of a particular member of the commission to the visible delight of other members. The said member had tried to fail me by showing that I had no satisfactory knowledge of Sanskrit literature. But I was able to prove his own folly of expecting such a thorough knowledge of the very vast Sanskrit literature from a student who had graduated in Sanskrit from an ordinary college (in a backward region of the then Punjab) as against that from a Gurukula, which was and is an unquestioned monopoly of officially prejudiced Brahmanas. Still, my position in the list of candidates qualifying in the competitive examination was kept at No. 45. My position in the reserved category stood at No. 5 as against the declared number of vacancies for such a category which stood at No. 2. In other words, the Commission had tried to seal my fate through its own prejudicial action. But the subsequent scheming by government led to a situation in which the number of vacancies was doubled, raising it to 4. My appointment became possible because of one of the senior candidates having been declared medically unfit. Thus, it appeared that some heavenly powers were bent upon ensuring that I must get admitted to PCS, despite all opposition by all concerned and to allow me to play a specific role, whose details have already stated on Facebook, in different contexts. Emboldened by this background, I remained an un-manageable subordinate so that none could afford to give me an adverse report throughout my long official career and so that I was able to get admitted to IAS (almost in the shortest possible period for any PCS officer) in 1970, even by superseding quite a few upper caste officers and Scheduled Caste officers. I had always been steadily maintained an exemplary reputation for uprightness and unquestioned reputation for integrity and been annoying all the chief ministers mainly through exposing my own government in connection with institutionalised corruption in departments coming under my own control. The case of my premature retirement at the age of 56 had remained in the national news on this very account in early 1989. An editorial in The Tribune had stated that “S L Dhani has paid the price for standing firm against institutionalised corruption in government”. Incidentally, the government in Haryana was then headed by well known Chaudhary Devilal. These are the facts which can be still verified by the interested persons. Even at the cost of being misunderstood, I would like to state that such a bold action can never be expiated from one who is ardent believer if Varnaasrama Dharma, which prohibits all to go against dharma and Brahmana under any circumstances. More details can be provided by me on demand of FB friends but in my view such cases can serve only the purpose of a case study. Ironically, no university teacher will be found to be prepared to use such cases in furtherance of any kind of researches simply because of the indelible impression of Hindu Samskaras, which are patently against the spirit of the Constitution of India.
