At present , this market has become more well-known. For tourist, it is so exciting and funny after hearing warning-announcement from the station ,to watch the merchants and vendors in a rush to fold and remove their awnings and unbrellas which overlap into the space above the railway tracks. They are so skillful that they are able to handle this in a few minutes before the train reaches the spot. The market is colloquially known as Rom Hoop Market,meaning the market where they have to prepare to fold down umbrella or awning to let the trains pass through. The market is also ironically called Nee Tai Market for they have to flee away to survive from the approaching trains heading for this market. This market is ,on and on, to be open and closed 8 times and day ,since there are 4 trains passing up and down.
