Thank goodness my friend, Trina, treated me to dinner tonight. That doggone chef did not show up again. We went to Pauls Place Restaurant and Bakery for dinner. It is the first time I have been there. Great food! :) I do have one pet peeve when I go out to eat. I want my water or drink glass refilled often. If the waiter/waitress is polite and keeps my glass refilled I will easily tip 20 %. The waiter at the Chinese Buffet I went to on Tuesday got a 30 % tip. Now when I set my empty glass at the end of my table and I am still eating my food and 3-4 wait staff pass by and never ask if I would like a refill....we have a problem. Then I finish my meal and still no refill. Finally we asked for a refill and we received a refill. As we sat there and talked...catching up on events over the past couple of months... waiting for Trinas daughter to get out of class so she could go and pick her up....we again ended up with empty glasses. No offers for refills. We asked for a refill and the waitress said she would get us some more water....10 minute later she finally brought the water pitcher. Just not acceptable service. :(
