Hi everyone I expect you are all aware that A Good Yarn has been offered for sale since the end of December. Sadly, no one bought it so the shop will be closing on Saturday 26th at 3pm. My lease was due for renewal so this is a good time to move on to the next phase of my life - being an intermittent Grey Nomad with my husband and business partner, Grant. I have loved every minute of the past 3 years (yes, it has been 3 years!) and have learned a lot about myself during that time. I didnt know if I could run a shop as I had never worked in retail before, but found I could! I have enjoyed meeting so many lovely, lovely people with a common interest in yarn and fibre, and have watched friendships form and bloom as a result of people meeting at A Good Yarn. The big blue sofa has listened to laughter, secrets and, sometimes, tears during its time, as well as accommodating patient partners whilst their other half browsed. There will be a Closing Down Sale starting at 9am on Saturday 12th April and finishing on the 26th, with 25% off all stock, so come and grab a bargain!
