Thank you, Pamela DeLa Rosa Sutton, Michael Suttons darling! Here goes.....Ive been given the Number 10. I am compelled by Pamelas kindness, to give 10 facts about myself; driving myself a bit Looney trying to find 10 things that are uniquely Me. Hmmmmmm...... 1. I was Born, Raised, Educated and discovered Love in Roswell, NM. 2. I am a Proud Alumnus of Roswells Jewel: New Mexico Military Institute; attended following Graduation from Roswell High School in 1983 on a Music Scholarship because, evidently, I mustve been a pretty decent French Horn/ Mellophone Player. 3. I was Married 5.16.1992, in The N.M.M.I. Alumni Chapel, to Katrina Treloar. We have a 21 yr. old Daughter, Kaitlyn Nicole and, a 13 yr. old Son, Zachary Logan. And, weve been Divorced since Mar. 2009. 4. I attended Eastern New Mexico Medical Centers - School of Radiography from 1990-1992, after which I relocated to Alamogordo, NM to begin a Career that, until recently, became my Lifes great accomplishment in being a Provider for my Family. 5. I learned how to ride a Bicycle when I was 4 Years old; sweet are the memories of riding it to school, back then, at El Capitan Elementary School. Ive never lived without a Bicycle in my Life since then. Today, I am thrilled to own a Trek Madone 5.5 Road Bike that carries more value to me than my Chevrolet Silverado Pickup Truck. :-) Along with my Brother, Terrill Van Carter and a good friend from work, in 2006, I completed The Chile Pepper Challenge, in Canutio, NM, which was 101.1 miles of Crushing The Pedals on the day. Three weeks later, in heavy wind in El Paso, Texas, we also completed The Tour de Tolerance, 100 Km Road Bike Challenge. I likely finished in last place since I decided to help a woman who had sustained a Flat Tire. I let her cross the finish line ahead of me. 6. I am a hopeless addict to Rock n Roll Guitar work; lots of Distortion, Sustain and Harmonics, yet, I cant play the Guitar. :-( 7. I love the Science of Homebrewing fine Ales with tons of Hoppiness (a lot of Hops used both in the initial boil and during Fermentation), yet I dont Drink Beer, never really liked it; just love the Science of it. 8. I became Lovingly Addicted to Hunting for Arrowheads, with my Father. Many an enjoyable hour were spent strolling through the Woods, with a sweet Juniper Walking Stick that my Father Carved with His own hands; talking with Him about ANYTHING that came to our minds. Yet, such activities are Unlawful, thanks to Jim Baca, former Land Commissioner for the State of New Mexico. It seems to me to be a Bad Law, for the Casual Hunter, in that it requires us to leave them on the ground, only to eventually be broken by the grazing Cattle that happen along, rather than being loved and appreciated for the unknown History that lives in every one of them. 9. I look upon the Beauty of a Woman, in all forms, as Gods Greatest Gift to Mankind! Add to that, the beauty of sharing Eternal Life with Her. 10. I have saved these for last, since these events changed me forever: On Thanksgiving Morning of 1999, I awoke to tell me Wife, who was preparing to go to Work in Labor & Delivery at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM, to have a good day; it was to be my First time of preparing the Thanksgiving Meal for Family. And, unexpectedly, I became the victim of Transverse Myelitis of my Spinal Cord. That Day of Days quite nearly took my Life. My Wife was about 6 weeks Pregnant with Our Son, Zachary Logan Carter, at that time. Amazingly, she did not Miscarry, as such events like mine can cause, purely by the stress alone. Thanks to Her, never leaving my side, I survived that frightening time and returned to my Chosen Profession. Then, on 10-18-2009, nearly 10 yrs. later and one day after my Daughter, Kaitlyn Nicoles 17th Birthday (Divorce had already destroyed our Relationship in her Heart), I climbed onto the roof of our Horse Barn in Roswell, NM, to likely prevent my 74 year old Father from doing it and was, for the second time in my life, touched by Deaths Robe when I accidentally fell through that Roof and sustained multiple Skeletal Fractures and a Traumatic Brain Injury which left me with a Subarachnoid Hemorrhage. My Son, Zachary, and my Father were witness to that Day of Days that, through the Power of Prayer, I survived. The reason I attribute my Survival to Prayers Great Power, is this: The fine Physicians at Texas Tech Medical School (a.k.a.: University Medical Center), in Lubbock, Texas gathered my Family and stated that they had done all that Medicine could do and I was beyond their ability to save. My Family was certain, after being told this, that I would be dead the following day. Yet, here I am. The Broken Road of My Mind, after 4 yrs. of struggling, has returned to its former Acuity and, as a further Blessing from Personal Prayer, I have met and am Engaged to One of Gods most Beautiful Daughters. She found me when I was totally committed to ending That Search.
