Thank you for allowing us to join your group. 8 years ago, my son, Dawson (then 4) injured himself on the slope and we ended up at Telluride medical center. After he was cared for, we were asked to leave as there had been an accident on the hill and they needed the room. Just a few hours later as we walked to town, we were blown away by the sheer number of people of all ages standing vigil outside the medical center....embracing each other, holding candles...crying. Our son said that the person inside must be very special because so many people cared. Wow...little did we know! Since that day, we have been touched by Hoot. We have shared stories with each other that we read on the internet...what an absolute treasure Hoot was to anyone and everyone he crossed paths with....those who knew him and strangers alike. A twist of fate allowed us to know about him....and we are better for the opportunity. Again, thank you for letting us share...we celebrate his spirit! Here is our son, Dawson, with Hoot...two weeks ago! God bless!!!!
