Thank you so much for the love, kind words, condolences and care. As most of you know, my dad has fought the most miraculous battle with Cancer for the last 8 years. He remained positive and generous even when he felt horrible. It was hard to watch his body being beaten up by this terrible disease but it was beautiful to witness the love and kindness of Jesus Christ renewing him and strengthening him. What a juxtaposition. As his body weakened, his spirit grew stronger. Our family will miss this man who was loved by many and who blessed us with his tenderness, humour and interest but we also rejoice that he is not held by death. He has merely moved into glory along with other saints who have gone before him. He has no pain, he is restored and he is finally in the presence of his creator and saviour. We cry for ourselves but can only be thrilled for him. He knew his destination and as much as it pained him to leave us, he longed to reap the promises of Heaven. My boys adored their grandpa; even though he was sick the whole time they have known him, they still got more than a grandchild could ask for.
