Thank you to everyone who has sent me their well wishes. I just wanted to let you how much it means to read all the comments. Krystle and I drove past the accident site today and Im glad I was able to give the police my statement sat night because I was so determined to talk rationally in case I couldnt later. ( I was more worried about my brain than I was about my bones). Im doing okay. Ive discovered new bruises and probably my sorest today. But I consider myself extremely lucky considering flying over a car hood.. Im discharged with a wheelchair as I cant really walk more than a few feet.. It will take time to heel. My concussion is resolving and I dont feel nauseated today. I have to stay in Winnipeg for awhile but Im just so glad to be out. My care was outstanding from the paramedics to the police who stayed with me during the trauma unit to neurology and even came when they were done their shift to make sure I was okay. Even a bystander who contacted my kids for me had phoned my daughter. Makes me feel very humble. What happened was this: krystle and I had gone to fringe festival and around 11:30 I was cold and told krystle I was going to start walking to her place. I crossed a short street when the walk sign came on and a car turned right without looking and hit me when I was halfway across. I flew up on his hood and when he slammed his brakes I flew off landing on my side and head. My adipose tissue saved me as well a couple angels I happen to know. Thank you all for your kind words!
