Thank you to our Elbow Tower Residents for their continued patience. Our team, contractors and partners continue to work tirelessly at Elbow Tower. We are happy to report that, in the past week, replacement electrical panels arrived and were installed. We now have power to the building (excluding the parkade). We are currently working on having hot and cold water in the building as well as an operational and certified fire alarm system. Next week we will be working on the heating system as parts continue to arrive. With power to the building now, we have also begun a complete assessment of the damage to the elevators and should be able to provide a status update next week. We are also reviewing occupancy requirements with the City of Calgary to ensure our Residents can return home safely. We continue to ask that Residents DO NOT return home at this time. We are working towards having Residents, on the 2nd floor and above, return home on August 1st. We will provide an update and confirmation of this date next week. Unfortunately, due to the extensive damage, Residents on the 1st floor will not be able to return home on August 1st. We will continue to provide updates on the progress of the 1st floor work. Our team is available on-site Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to assist with retrieving any essentials from your suite; your suite key and picture ID will be required. Our Associates continue to monitor the building 24/7. As a result of the fridges being emptied, we are providing a grocery gift card as compensation at our Head Office, #200, 1501 – 1 St. SW between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; picture ID will be required and, at the discretion of the Boardwalk representative, all leaseholders may need to be present. Please be assured that our top priority is to return our Residents to their homes quickly and safely. We will continue to provide an update weekly or upon new information.
