Thankful today for my two beautiful daughters Christa Proctor and Angela McCollough - both who work in public ministry and public service on behalf of the Placer and Sacramento areas. When they were little girls, their father and I placed no limits on the direction(s) and choices their hearts desired in future callings and careers with the exception that they work diligently and honorably wherever they chose to serve in life. In consideration and to honor the two fallen officers - one from Placer County and the other from Sacramento, I especially wanted to say Im thankful for the career choice Angela chose - working to keep citizens safe as they go about their lives. Also, today - Christa works alongside many other Sacramento Region pastors in their efforts to help bring unity and racial reconciliation to this area. Best of all - they are both wonderful mothers - two of the best, always considering their children and their childrens needs. I dont care for the word proud but I will say, Im very well pleased and encouraged in the beliefs and fairness both my girls have portrayed in their lives and most especially in their treatment of all people regardless of gender, wealth, race, or age. They are my heroines.
