Thankfully, Misty (featured in the current cover photo) has made a complete recovery after suffering a month ago from bloat, compounded by a collapsed trachea. Turns out that what appears to be a new canine virus (not kennel cough) was the source of Misty going into distress. Severe coughing caused her to take in large amounts of air, resulting in the bloat and collapsed trachea. These potentially deadly symptoms were treated immediately. The croupy cough directly related to the virus lingered on for close to 3 weeks. A month later, not a sign of any residual issues!
