Thankfully Ros seems to be over the sickness bug that started earlier this week, so its back on to the road of recovery. Physio has decided to start to get Ros out of bed for short periods. This involves Ros being hoisted from the bed onto a special chair and is closely monitored whilst sitting in the chair, which initially has only been for about 15/20 minutes a day. Although feeling a bit dizzy yesterday this went fairly well I also managed to wash Ros hair yesterday. Having been more than 5 weeks since it was last done, Ros was desperate for it to be done. We asked nurse for necessary equipment and even after being reminded they still didnt bring what we needed so we decided to carry on anyway. Wrapping a sheet and towel round Ros neck to hopefully catch most of the water, 2 good lathers did the trick. When I rinsed her hair a little water did manage to find its way into the bowl I had placed behind Ros head but most of it ended up on the floor!! Still we had fun doing it and I think this was the first time wed had a good laugh since that terrible day back in July!!
