Thanks all for your prayers and kind words about the loss of our Cowgirl. TJ and Zach, when he was a little boy, and before Kris and Oliva were born, traveled to Lousianna and adopted her from the Lousianna Bassett Rescue..she was just 9wks old. She was all Kris and Olivia ever knew. We inheriated our Golden Retreiver, Jake when we moved to Molino, but Cowgirl remained the alpha of those two! Although she became blind a few years back..she scratched on the back door constant...demanding goodies for them both! Besides being blind she began to develope alot of problems over the last year. Things that were just due to old age and typlical Bassett problems with her back and legs..so I find comfort knowing shes in a better place. Hope Jake does ok without her..
