Thanks for all the bestwishes either here on the wall or in personal messages. We were discharged from the hospital a few hours ago and are all back home. Mom suffered the most injuries with two fractured ribs and a fractured finger. Shell get the plaster for the finger later this week. Her face is also swollen due to contusion and she will take a few months to recover. We hope shell recover enough for the India trip, but not sure if going to India is the best option. My father was the most lucky but still suffered contusion and pain in his upper back and chest. Dr has prescribed more powerful pain relievers medication but he said if you can get by tylenol or ibuprofen thats the best. I have contusion induced pain in my lower ribs that have constrained my certain movements. As long as there is no heavy lifting, Im functional for the most part. Both cars were totaled and Ill deal with the auto and medical insurance etc in coming days. Im almost certain city will slap in more charges for the damage to palm trees and cleaning up the debris there. All in all, things could have been worse and we are lucky that we dont have to spend a night at the hospital and there is no fatal injury. I dont have the bandwidth to respond to individual wishes but really appreciate your support and prayers.
