Therefore of those remaining ,some names , places and events may have been changed to protect the innocent or indeed the guilty. I had a choice of paying a large fine or being deported from Malta in 1987, for borrowing a rowing boat in the early hours to get home. 2. I once angered Errol Brown of Hot Chocolate fame in a hotel in Harrogate by mimicking the voice of a fairground seller and repeadedly shouting roll up , roll up, Every ones a winner and the winning prize is a malteser head 3. I annoyed the actor Trevor Bannister (who played Mr Lucas in are you being served) in a Peterborough Hotel by asking him how he felt being the first man to break the 4 minute mile barrier... 4. I regularly went jogging with neighbour Paul Usher (Barry Grant in Brookside) when i lived near Liverpool. 5. I held a cricket world record. 6. Laura and i turned down the chance to sit with Zig Ziglar his wife and family through a full church service as we had a plane to catch 7.
