Thanks so much to so many of you with notes, private messages and all of your concern about the operation today. It does really lift the spirit to have so many people praying and sending thoughts. I am always positive, but we all know the definition of minor surgery -- surgery to someone else! I am getting ready for the surgery soon. The doctors seem assured that there is no tumor or no small intestine that needs to be cut, etc. Course they have to get in to really see rather than just MRI & X-rays, etc. Drank the barium and they could see where it didnt totally stop, but was slowed. They are pretty sure that it was my Kodak trip around the world for two years that I had to stop to have appendix removed in Singapore (that wasnt fun, btw). They think it is scar tissue from that that has kinked my intestine (I can see it now the comments about Kinky Bill :-) They plan on cutting that obstruction away. No I wont be shooting stock shots of the operation. Tony Bennett said he left his heart in San Francisco --- well, I left my appendix in Singapore! I plan on posting tonight (if I can think clearly) so again, I thank you all for your love, prayers, concern and thoughts. I am really not comfortable even posting the first notice, as I just seem to think I can keep going and doing anything. As a former athlete, I learned to wipe the blood, put a bandage on it and get back in the game. So it is not like me to really say I need a prayer or a thought today for something like this. I am supposed to leave in early September for a cruise assignment shoot in Norway up and around the Arctic Circle. I am still hoping I can do that --- doctor thought it was best I did not wait on surgery and have something happen up there. Somehow I think I agree with him. Everyone else have a great weekend and mine will not be too active. I thank you for your thoughts this afternoon. My smile remains intact ... only my side hurts, not my spirit...
