Thanks to Ruth E. Smith for her submission in the SEI June Facebook #SolarSelfie Contest! Ruth is one of our many proud SEI Women in Solar Alumna in the field doing great work! These pictures were taken at the 550 megawatt (MW) Desert Sunlight Solar Farm that I worked on. My training at SEI helped me to have an understanding of the layout and components of solar PV systems. I had never worked on a solar power house before and having a heads up on the theory and materials of a solar system helped me feel much more comfortable at my job. I hope to someday get into the the Project Management side of the Solar Contracting Business and I think SEI would help me to achieve that goal by providing me with their online courses.
