Thanks to everyone for the good wishes and prayers. Tomorrow at 0700 I get my pain pump. As if it werent enough, after 2 years of searching and diagnoses like nerves stuck together and scar tissue which means no one actually knows whats causing my persistent pain, I think we really found the diagnosis this afternoon. On Friday I had a bone scan looking for possible fusion failure. The results today did NOT show that but it did show a milder form of that called micromotion. The L5-S1 disc space that was fused over a year ago is beginning to show motion. There is intense inflammation especially on the right where the nerve roots that have been giving me such pain are located. Dr Scodary says that a procedure using bone chips and a stem cell glue could work and He will try it in a month or so. He says he can save the L5-S1 fusion and potentially cure the pain. It seems so reasonable but I am so tired of finding another possible cause. Ill let you all know as the possibility of one LAST surgery progresses but no matter what Im getting my pain pump tomorrow.
