Thanks to my friend Liz who posted this! Love the connection to the brain! Who has read linguist George Lakoffs Dont Think of an Elephant: What Conservatives Know That Liberals Dont ? That angle changed my perspective on how we engage( or fail to) the political sphere. Any further recommendations that have inter-disciplinary approaches or implications are requested here. I once heard Dr. Gabor Mate connect economic class, voting patterns, and neurological development to political engagement and happiness. I love such studies that try to explain gaps of all sorts.
