Thanks to your support in 2013 we were able to send food and financial support to the people of Syria, as well as more than 50,000 Bibles and Christian books. Recently a huge shipment of 15,000 illustrated youth Bibles arrived in Syria for Christians all over the country. “We appreciate your support so much,” say Open Doors workers, ““The people don’t only need answers to their physical needs, but also their spiritual needs.” Distribution is not always easy, but the team press on. Imad, a partner working in Homs, explains, “It is not easy to deliver the books. On our way to the city we had to pass checkpoint after checkpoint. They ask a lot of questions and we are always wary of kidnappers. I was very worried about being on the road with such a large number of books and money. We support Christian families by sharing from the Bible and praying with them. Our goal is to bring them comfort and encouragement.” Thank you for your generosity in supporting this work.
