Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times to decorate! I love the colors and the richness of the season. Yesterday as I watched the Food Network chefs prepare and decorate for a Thanksgiving meal I picked up this great tip...keep your table decor low and not over cluttered. The greatest thing about Thanksgiving is the the sharing that goes on during the meal and we dont want tall or cumbersome decor to get in the way of the real memories! I LOVE this decor from pinterest. Simple. Inexpensive. Beautiful. And just the right height. You can add more color and fun and by using different pumpkins and gourds, and dried leaves in beautiful colors. Last year I started using a votive candle at each place setting and loved the effect. This is also an inexpensive way to add warmth and beauty to your table. And dont forget that you can be creative with your place settings (whether paper or china/linen) to add to the decor!
