That little girl remind me of myself every time when I dare to go - TopicsExpress

That little girl remind me of myself every time when I dare to go downhill on the mountain bike, which my brain assesses as a stretched challenge. People who helped me in the past to get that challenge under the belt, Christine Ellicott Hirst, Wendy Engelberg, Mark Langton, Amy Rambacher, Thomas Rambacher Dpm and many others, probably will find similarities between that little girl in the video and me, a grown-up woman. I, pretty much, say the same, breath the same, cry the same. I ask pretty much the same questions, And I hear pretty much the same answers: like this one:the more you wait the more the scarier it gets.... But the feeling of concurring the fear, at last going down, and finishing it safely, is astonishing . Then everything what we have to do is understand that many times our brain will overprotect us, its normal. It how we humans are wired. It doesnt mean that we should be reckless and overestimate our skills and abilities, but we should take into consideration that the fear will be the size of an elephant while in reality it should be the size of the dog. Also consider that people who have been by your side may see and know about your abilities more than you give yourself credit for. It is important to listen to those who care about your success and helping you to advance either on a trail or in life. Oh, and about life, when some challenge arrives, you try to flashback to those moments, relate to them, understanding that life could be a big challenge, but you can roll throughout that darn scary part with the help of others, just like youve done it before. But when you made it through, you ll feel awesomeness inside.
