The 1st 40 has been an awesome journey. The next 40 has started out with a bang. Thank you for all of the wonderful birthday wishes over the last couple of weeks. My awesome and beautiful girlfriend, Kat , threw a fantastic surprise party last night Zumba Mexican Grille. Im still overwhelmed by how many people where there and all the folks who gave Kat a helping hand in pulling it off. Im a truly blessed. Thank you to everyone who helped out, came out last night and/or sent a birthday wish and to Smalls too. And of course last night had some awesome acoustic performances from Paulina Jayne, SHOTGUN SOUL, Mike Leslie Band, and The Infatuations in all sorts of variations...it was really incredible. The food was great and drink options were perfect Tequila Cabresto Silver and Gold and Atwater Brewery Lager and Dirty Blonde. The sound guy was hilarious too. And I of course used last night as a platform to sell tickets to Detroit Block Party on The Boulevard - Dual Album Release Party too. It would not be a night of celebrating without stops at Smalls and Andrews on the Corner too. Thank you Kat for bringing so many people together for one of the best nights of my life, I love you.
