The 2004 National Moon Over Mountains® Award Brielle Saracini wrote this poem for her mom in memory of her father, Victor Saracini. Brielles father was the pilot of United Airlines Flight 175, which crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Mom deserves diamonds She does everyday Mom stands strong Although dads far away Missing her husband Cause dad left on 9/11 Now her heart lies within heaven Brielle Saracini Grade: 7 Pennwood Middle School Yardley, PA Brielle Saracini was awarded the first Moon Over Mountains® Award of a Mothers Crown necklace to present to her mom, Ellen. The crown represents a symbol of her moms courage. Her poem represents the courage of every mom in our nation, and reminds us that through suffering comes strength, and that those we love live forever in our hearts. Brielles words and thoughts have given a deeper meaning to the annual Why Mom Deserves a Diamond® contest.
