The 2014 Pride #LegacyAwards are coming up on May 4, and we wanted to highlight the amazing people who make our community a better place. And last, but not least, Purple - Youth. Andrew Shopland - As a queer youth working with youth and building intergenerational communities, Andrew strives to create inclusive spaces that allow for vulnerability and learning. Justin Saint - Justin is a queer geek activist, event organizer, drag performer and a Fully Professed Sister of Perpetual Indulgence. He is the founder of two community groups for queer geeks and has been volunteering for queer causes since coming out in 2007. Lydia Luk - Lydia became a Youth Leader and PrideSpeak Peer Leader at Gab Youth Services at The Centre now known as Qmunity. She facilitated the very first Queer People of Colour focus groups at Qmunity. Her work with Qmunity transformed her from a youth-to-youth leader, to being part of the staff team as a youth worker providing support to Queer and Trans* youth.
