The 20th Micronesian Chief Executives Summit (MCES) will get underway at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow at Yap Small Business Development Center Conference Room and many dignitaries from the Micnornesian nations and states arrieved last night to participate in the Summit. Members and participants of the MECS are the FSM, Pallau, Marshall Islands, FSM State of Yap, FSM State of Chuuk,Territory of Guam, FSM State of Kosrae, Commonwealth of the NOrthern Mariana Islands and the FSM State of Pohnpei. The Legislature met in the Committee of the whole to disucss and agreed to postpone its schuled session from 10:00 a.m. tomorrow to 1:30 p.m. to recong nize and give respect to the Summit and to allow for members to attend the opening of the Summit. The purpose of the session as schedule was for the Legisalture to appropriate the funds needed for the Yap Team to the Micro Games in Pohnpei.
