The 2nd Years were in Kings Hopsital today and a strong performance saw them emerge 24-0 winners. Pres Bray started slowly but a great effort from number 8 Ciaran Mc Kay saw us lead by 7-0 at the break. Kings Hos had lots of possession and territory in the 2nd half and the Pres defence had to be at its best to keep them out. Ryan McDonald was a tower of strength in the backrow in what was a man of the match performance. Sam Odowd was outstanding in the centre also with Darragh Rochford pulling the strings at 10 oncw the game opened up. In the final 15 minutes, Pres regained control of the game, running in 3 tries with Ciaran McKay getting his 2nd and centres Jack Gallagher and Sam O Dowd also dotting down. Callum McNulty came on for the final 20 minutes and made a big difference. Most importantly for Gordon and his coached, Pres conceded no tries for the 3rd game in a row. Well done everyone! The B team were convincing winners running in 13 tries in a top notch performance. Callum McNulty scored two before playing for the A team with big prop Keld Sredo, flying wings Dermot Carroll and Neil Gorman (in his very first game?!) and centre Sean Doyle also bagging a brace each. Outhalf Nathan Murphy, Jordan Temple and Cathal Obrien also got in for tries. Nathan Murphy kicked 2 conversions also as did Temple with Sean Fleming also kicking a goal. It was a fantastic team perfromance with many of the squad putting their hands up for selection next week for the A team. the final score was Pres 75 Kings Hospital 5
