The A.E. “Bean” Backus Museum, 500 N. Indian River Drive in Fort Pierce, is holding its annual “Through the Eye of the Camera” juried competition, open to both amateur and professional photographers. Entries will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and from noon to 3 p.m. Sundays from April 16 to May 3 (closed Easter Sunday and Mondays and Thursdays). There are seven distinct categories to enter and a $25 entry fee for each photo submitted. Complete rules, explanations and an application are on the Museum’s website backusmuseum or call 772-465-0630 to receive an application by mail. The exhibition will run from May 8 to July 11.
