“The ABUSE of the Touch of God - Ignorance or Deliberate” Revelation 1 verse 17: “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last”: I have been in A Pentecostal church since 1957 (57 years) and the SADDEST thing to behold today is to see how the MODERN Mr. Preacher has pushed out the precious Holy Spirit. There are VERY few churches where there is any manifestation of the Holy Spirit whatsoever. I personally sat in an AOG church where the preacher (JB) put a complete stop to people manifesting any gifts and that CHURCH is today a poor existence living on earthly manmade programs and poor in every sense of the word. Yes they paint the church and there is ORDER, the choir stands correctly and the language is measured for perfection but everything is “DEAD” right. A prophesy in another church challenged the pulpits of today saying “the Problem is not in the pew it is in the pulpit”. There were four preachers in that meeting. None of them challenged the prophet bringing the message as not being from God but none of them (Who operate so in the flesh and manmade talents) repented. The meeting ended in a cold unfinished manner because they had no idea how to bring it all to God for His Glory that day and also did not recognise anything fro God that is outside the prescribed mode of operation and money making schemes. This lack of sensitivity spills over into prayer lines where people who feel the slightest touch or anointing of God convert the meeting into “A Give Me” session and the preachers love this because it makes the people feel good and good feeling people are easily milked for cash. The prayer line ends being the GOOD LUCH Charm of Christianity. When God touched John in the above verse He (God) wanted to (& did) converse with John on issues of what was to come and eternity. Our touch f God is a sign to us and the insensitive and inexperienced preachers that we can bring out the wish and shopping list of the “Nice to Have” things of life. This then means God NEVER gets to talk to His people and WE just plod along in the flesh void of the presence of the Holy Spirit. This state we find the church and ourselves in makes a real touch of God and a Word from God vital to us because the day is coming when the heat WILL BE TURNED ON FOR Christians and we will in ignorance REBUKE the Devil. Let us CRY out t6o God together “Oh God have MERCY on US” Please do not through a soppy love or insensitive HEART to what this message is about LAUNCH out an accuse it of touching the ANNOINTED of God.
