The APC Senatorial Primaries is slated for Monday, December 8, 2014. The deadline for the screening of Senatorial aspirant as scheduled in the APC Primaries Guideline published in dailies was Friday, Dec, 5, 2014; the date elapsed leaving me as the sole aspirant who purchased the Nomination Form, got screened, cleared and issued Clearance Certificate to contest the Benue South Senatorial Primary Election. We celebrate our 1st victory with a measure of humility and great appreciation to our teeming supporters. Once again, lest we are misconstrued for fearing primaries, we were very prepared and poised to win! Despite this reality, my supposed opponent posted a Nomination Form on his Timeline ostensibly to make believe he also bought the form albeit belated. Even though the the posting was ambiguous, and non committal-without any description, unsuspecting people commented and he responded accordingly by thanking them for their support and assuring those who read in between the line that he indeed collected his form on Dec, 2, 2014, but failed to accede their demand to see the Bank Teller. I resolved not to deplete a modicum of my energy on internal issues, rather, concentrate on the imminent replay of David and Goliath historic battle ahead, but at this juncture, Im compelled to put issues in proper perspectives. I dare anyone who claims to be in the primary race with me to post his or her Bank Deposit Slip and Screening Certificate of Clearance as I have done here for the umpteen time. At the verge of picking my form, I called the Benue State Secretariat, to collect the partys account number in which to deposit the stipulated N 3. 3 million fee for Senatorial/Intent Form, to my amazement, the corrupt party official that I called told me not to bother about paying the full amount into the partys account, that instead, I should deposit the sum of only N2 million into his personal account with the promise of issuing me a Bank Teller that will reflect actual sum of N3.3 million, and a Nomination Form. I felt slighted with his alarming suggestion! I couldnt have compromised my conscience and ideals, because its my believe that anyone who genuinely wants to represent his people and aspires such a high office must be one with high moral standing, thus, I vehemently declined his proposal. I got wind of the drama which attended my opponents collection of form at the APC Benue State Secretariat, I strongly suspected an underhand dealing as was earlier offered me, so I raised alarm! I have already forwarded a petition to the National Chairman of APC, in respect of the ugly development. Both the Chairman and Secretary of the Screening committee assured me that I was the only one screened and cleared for the Monday election as at deadline. Against this background, I call on the good people of Benue South to disregard the desperate attempt to misinform you and continue to mobilize and organize for the change we all crave!....CHANGE IS VERY POSSIBLE!
