The Act of Praying: A Divine ResponsibilityO f Every Christian. Why Pray, to whom should you Pray, where should you Pray, when should you Pray, and how should you Pray? Why should one pray? If food sustain our body on a daily bases, then prayers sustainour spiritual life’s on a daily bases as well. For the nourishments of whatgoes into our human bodies are essential and fruitful to build us in our life’s journeys on earth, so must our spiritual nourishments build us and enrich ourdivine connectivity with God for an everlasting sustenance in both our physical and spiritual needs as well as communications with GOD. Is it “selfish”, “misery”, “boastful”, “stubborn” or “bigotry” topray? Not really. The Bible makes it very clear that believers should pray, regarding spiritual things as well as in regard to physical matters. As things are now, this is an evil world with many dangers and deception. And so, we needGod and his help, all the time. Also our children and other relatives needprotection and guidance and mercy, at every moment. Indeed, all of mankind needs God. (Yes, believers should pray even for non-believers and others.) Also, let us keep in mind that we humans are mortal. So, if wewant to keep on living, we need God, for salvation. (The dogma regarding an“immortal soul” is not biblical; a dead body is a dead body and a mere dust to dust.) Please note: Salvation is simply the same as being saved from death –being granted continued life. Only God can do that. This includes the matter of resurrection through divine, spiritual and Godly interventions, which we call miracles. There is no any miracle that does not have the hands of God in it. Callit mystical or juvenation. The Mighty hands of God crown all healing and any positive miraculous outcome that defeats human understanding. Furthermore: We all fail at times, and do wrong things. So, wemust pray for God’s mercy and forgiveness. And, it is from God that we must ask for guidance, strength and understanding, for living in the right way. One should also ask God to help one to be a good example to others, to actively live,as one should in word, deed, thought and prayer. Here is something important to keep in mind: Believers must keeppraying that the time will come soon when Jesus comes again and makes even thisplanet a part of his Father’s great Kingdom. Today, the Earth is still in the hands of the wicked one, enemies of people of goodwill, and the devils thatroar, bark and steals our freedom and blessings. There is much more to pray about, of course. And, let us not forget the giving of thanks. There are many good reasons for humbleness, pity, forgiveness, loving one another, interceding on behalf of one another, giving of thanks to God, singing of praises to God and acknowledging the true God in Heaven as the Creator and as the giver andsustainer of life and all good things. Let us consider what James and Paul wroteto saints: James1:17 Every gift which is good, and every perfect boon, is from above, and comes down from the Father, who is the source of all Light. In Him there is no variation or the slightest suggestion of change. Fulfilling a prayer duty under any circumstance must take into consideration location, situations, personal mindset, environment, readiness, inhib itions, focus and direction. It’s a practice in which there shouldn’t be any disturbances nor should there be a room for you to be pried upon, or unwarranted surprises when deeply in prayer. It should be a smooth and soundprocess. May we be filled with the divine love and light of God the Father to be awakened and uplifted with the thirst for prayer. May our prayer lives beso devoted that, we shall quiver when not at pray and in every walk of our life’s prayers should be our daily BREAD. May the leading light of God shinesin our path each day to brighten our way to the eternal God of all creations when we are in prayer communication with GOD. MAY GOD THE FATHER, help us through JESUS CHRIST our intercessory LORD to develop a habit and anger to prayand a prayer that always will quench our thirst and satisfy our inner spirit tothe great love of GOD. Amen.
