The African Union (AU) is eerily silent on the ongoing genocidal massacres of civilians in South Sudan and human rights abuses against members of the Somali community in Kenya. The same happened with the crisis in Central African Republic. Sometimes I forget that this was the same organization spearheading the fight for non-prosecution of international criminals accused of gross violations of human rights. I expect waaay too much of this moribund and clearly dysfunctional organization. Thats my Achilles heel. They get me every time. My bad.
