The Alabama Department of Transportation has issued a travel advisory for the entire state, including interstate highways and bridges, as a winter storm continues to cause major problems for motorists even after its passing. Cold temperatures have set in after the storm, causing snow and ice to freeze on roads across Alabama. Road conditions in most parts of Alabama are hazardous, and drivers should avoid travel until conditions improve, ALDOT said Tuesday night. Due to the icy conditions, Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox issued a emergency declaration deeming all city roads impassable until further notice.
