The Antigua & Barbuda Investment Authority (ABIA) welcomes and encourages all Antiguans & Barbudans visiting and/or residing in New York City to attend the launch of the first “ABIA and Diaspora Investment Partnership Programme”. You will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself as to how Antiguans & Barbudans in the Diaspora can play a vital role in the attraction / flow of foreign direct investment (FDI) to the nation. The events will start with a town hall meeting on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (777 East 222nd Street) in the Bronx between 6 and 9 p.m. The delegation from the ABIA and the Government of Antigua & Barbuda will be led by ABIA Chairman of the Board and Consul General Dr. McChesney Emanuel. Focus areas will be a status report on the economy and the integral role of the ABIA in the economic development of the twin island state. Additional topics will be the Construct Antigua & Barbuda Initiative (CAB-I 2013) and investment opportunities. You are also welcome to meet the delegation between 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 31st 2013 at the Caribbean Splashdown Festival held at the Marcus Garvey Park, 124th Street and 5th Ave., Harlem, New York City.
