The Ashley fellow NUFC issues 1) Hes managed to half NUFC merchandise income since he took over. Surprising that hes hailed as the merchandise king. No surprise that it SD that sell NUFC merchandise 2) NUFC owe him £130m. Some say their debt free. 3) He change their stadium name to Sports Direct and gave the club nothing. Claiming it was to showcase how other potential sponsors could showcase their brand. RFC issues 1) He owns the naming rights to stadium for a further five years and paid a pound for the privilege. Some claim he only owns the first option of the naming rights. This is incorrect. 2) His company own our shops and no one can show any financial benefit to the club for this transaction 3) His strip deal is reported as the worst ever for our club and sources close to our directors claim its less than £1 per top 4) He refused to take part in fresh share issues and instead bought shares from an investor which means money went to investor rather than club. Some claim this was to keep him under the 10% shareholding, this simply isnt true as if he had then more shares in club would have been issued and therefore his shareholding would have went down slightly not up. 5) Last month he attempted to own our club crest in a deal that would have seen our club receive a soft loan which would have needed to be paid back and he would one our crest. One thing that those who see him as the messiah do have right is his vast wealth. Having vast wealth in no implies he will be good for any club it merely proves hes good at accumulating cash for himself. Until he says he wants to invest in our club and his plans for our club then its prudent to at least reserve judgement unless you can see from above points that hes unlikely to be good for any club. Walter Smith Rangers fans will get the club they deserve if fans want to accept this guy as a saviour then we will get the club we deserve, a massive Sports Direct marketing vehicle and commercial deals that favour Sports Direct more then they benefit our club.
