The Aussies are discovering the same thing our American Vietnam Veterans discovered, health problems in some kids and grand kids of the veterans. Now in Vietnam itself they have found that even great grand children of those exposed to the toxic chemicals, of which Agent Orange was only one of several, have health issues than seem to suggest permanent DNA damage. Since Serbia, exposures to depleted uranium radiation seem to also be causing permanent DNA damage to some kids of veterans and possibly be will see this in gran children as well. If so the social and economic costs are going to be beyond our imagination. As we learn the cost of war goes beyond the veteran and his immediate family in more and more ways.
