The Bibles Gospel in a bowl of cereal: Why doesnt God translated - TopicsExpress

The Bibles Gospel in a bowl of cereal: Why doesnt God translated us when we come to the cross and are born again? We are forgiven, accepted, and made a new creation at that point. Why doesnt God take us directly to heaven? It is all in a bowl of cereal. Around the age of 2 we watch our children becoming independent: We hear me do it repeatedly. Then we watch them try and fail and try and fail in simple tasks that we can easily do for them. For example, they take the milk to put on their cereal and make an enormous mess all over the table and floor. As a parent, does our love stop for them? oh, no...but our patience might!...This child is going to learn a great deal about US by the way we react to their mess. If we are harsh and we yell at them and we call them names, YOU STUPID CHILD, CANT YOU DO ANYTHING RIGHT?....or if we smile in love and say, LET ME CLEAN UP THE MESS YOU MADE AND THEN YOU CAN TRY AGAIN. What has that child learned about US? I believe God has a great deal to teach us about Himself and His glory and His power when we take our wobbly first steps without our own efforts to keep the Law to make ourselves better (like we used to before the cross). It is His power and His alone which saves us and forgives us...and we often forget...Keeps us forgiven and keeps us saved....in order to teach us about His GLORY and His POWER. If we are trapped into a belief system which tells us that we constantly have to TRY to keep the rules, then run back to God for more forgiveness when we fail to keep the rules....we have not yet fully comprehended the glory of the Gospel in the bowl of cereal.
