The Big Umbrella Family are so honoured that the efforts of our CEO and Founder Justin Dickinson have been recognised through his nomination for the Pride of Australia Medal. Justin has dedicated his life to changing the lives of street children in Nepal, those in need here in Melbourne, the students and teachers who have experienced our Study for Change program and the lives of the hundreds who have volunteered along side him. He demonstrates a level of compassion which inspires so many to act and has sacrificed so much to ensure that the TBU work can continue and grow. His tireless efforts are carried out with extreme humility. It is his leadership which has allowed those around him to bring fun, love and security to the sometime cold streets of Melbourne and to the beautiful boys at our Nepal House. Justin you bring us such joy through sharing with us experiences which challenge us and help us to grow. You help us to find good in every situation and to share that positivity with others. We love you, we thank you and we will continue working along side you to help your dream grow. The aim of the Pride of Australia medal is to show that there is no greater measure of a society’s strength than its ability to recognise, learn from and reward its true heroes. Please show your appreciation for Justins hard work and dedication by sharing his story and that of TBU. Big congratulations and love to you Justin from a very proud TBU Family. heraldsun.au/news/pride-of-australia/justin-dickinson-organises-a-feast-of-love-for-homeless-under-the-big-umbrella/story-fnisjx95-1227009149585
