The Blackfriars have been reviewed! I was amazed at the skill and ease with which these tiny actors - some no more than 8 years old - were able to present Shakespeares As You Like It. The actors obviously enjoyed the performance, and the audience, made up of mostly under 7s, was riveted throughout the entire performance! The Blackfriars actors transformed a tiny, dark church basement into a royal court and the great forest of Arden. Id recommend this troupe to any school or student group looking to encourage children that classical drama can be fun, relevant and uplifting to the spirit!
