The Buhari Blemish - STAR COMMENT ON MY WALL FROM Stella John See. In every good soul, there is always a stain. These sterling credentials of Buhari as highlighted ......... are not in dispute. It is just a Buhariphobia arising from his high handedness as Military Head of State. Examples: execution of the trio of drug peddlers by a resort to retrospective Law amidst cries of protest, his uncivil & discriminatory attitude in dealing with the corrupt politicians e.g it is alleged that while Alex Ekwueme & others were hounded in Kirikiri, his Fulani brother, Shehu Shagari, was merely on house arrest in a cosy Ikoyi house...The worst of all - peoples innate, natural, divine inclination for Freedom especially of Worship & Religion. The general notion even amongst the so called moderate muslims is that he is very responsible for the post election violence of 2011 & BH. Man, by his nature, I maintain, would rather a leader who doesnt provide infrastractural amenities but an environment facilitating free conscience exists! Ghadafi of Libya was one of the best African leaders in terms of infrastructural economy but in the trappings & bondages, decades later, the people revolted & violently. For me, Buharis case is more of the psyche of a trained soldier & that, under the Science of Psychology, is natural. Perhaps, the psyche is no longer dominant & Buhari passionately wants to come & make real changes in Nigeria & he can, but how many people are ready to leave the past behind as Christ admonished. Perhaps, there is the need for Buhari to address a press conference & address these fundamental issues. In doing so, he may need to apologise to Nigeria for those soldierly actions. People keep making references to them as they are grossly undemocratic! That humility may strike at peoples souls. Just my opinion.
