The CNN coverage of the missing plane is so mindless - one wrong - TopicsExpress

The CNN coverage of the missing plane is so mindless - one wrong premise on top of another. The pilots had nothing to gain by throwing away their careers. Nonetheless, the media has talked about them as potential culprits at incredible length. The only thing that got my attention, was their willingness to let passengers (especially attractive women) into the cockpit - which surely would be noticed by potential hijackers. In fact, the women in the cockpit may have been testing for flight crew vulnerabilities. In some countries, the pilots STILL leave the cockpit doors open. The idea that a terrorist would take over the aircraft is probable, but then to fly it (or have the pilot do so under duress) 7 hours away to be dumped in the ocean makes NO SENSE. More likely: the plane is on the ground in the middle east. There are unlimited terrorist uses for a 777. Is the Pentagon working 24/7 on this? You bet. In fact, they are probably delighted that the media is so easily distracted, so they can use Special Forces where needed, without telegraphing their activities. The Washington Post reported that the passengers phones were working, days later - presumably because they were NOT underwater. Time will tell. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c7/Boeing_777_above_clouds%2C_crop.jpg/800px-Boeing_777_above_clouds%2C_crop.jpg
