The CSBs latest CD project - Solo Flight - is nearing completion and will soon be available for purchase. Under the technical expertise of recording engineer Ted Marshall and the direction of Bandmaster John Lam, the recording took place earlier this year at St. Annes Anglican Church in Toronto. The CD features a wide array of soloists from throughout the Canada and Bermuda Territory, including CSB alumni Robert Venables (cornet) and Andrew Poirier (trombone). Other soloists from outside the band include Colin Williams (cornet), Mark Barter (piano), and a new euphonium duet featuring Stephen Chard and Steven Burditt. Our own tuba soloists Jonathan Rowsell and Scott Gross will be heard in Robert Redheads Tuba Tandem. Also on the recording will be a selection of new and old works from the pens of Dean Goffin, William Himes, Major Leonard Ballantine, Major Ken Smith and Jeremy Smith.
