The Chairman, NUJ, Akwa Ibom State Council, Elder Patrick Albert alongside members of the SWC of the Union on Monday, 17th November, 2014, defied heavy rains and embarked on on-the-spot assessment of the first-in-Nigeria Oil & Gas Academy, in Nyaodiong, constructed by Executive Chairman, Mkpat Enin Local Government Council, Hon Ephraim Akpan, himself a journalist. The team saw for themselves some components of the Academy; Administrative buildings, Staff quarters, Hostels, ICT Centre, Classrooms, Pipeline welding workshop for over 70 welders simultaneously, 4 open workshops, Canteen, recreational facilities, landscaping, amongst others. This is indeed historic and great gift for the generation, said the State NUJ boss. Im speechless... I thought the hullabaloo was as the result of your incompetence... Ephraim, youre indeed once-in-a-lifetime, said member of the team. Isnt better to spend the council funds on projects than to share among the elites? The following photos justify my assumption...
