The Chronicle is having a case of the vapors in tomorrow’s paper, with an op-ed titled “Vote for Middle Class Housing -- Vote No on Prop B” by the Chamber’s vice President Jim Lazarus and the head of the Building Trades. Yes, the same ones who demanded we approve luxury housing at 8 Washington. But not content with that, they re-run an earlier story on Pier 70 touting all its good points, but while mentioning Prop B fails to note that Art Agnos is a supporter of this project, giving the lie to the claim that Prop B supporters opposed middle class housing. Also, please ignore the other story that appeared today that income equality in SF is now the worst in the US and on a par with Rwanda, with the middle class fleeing the city while the rich become ever more dominant.
