The Chronicles of Rusty – Day 16 Another quiet night. I am just too good to be true. I am not quite sure whether I am really proud of myself, or bored to death. WUF. Anyway grandma took Alfie and me out for our walk as usual. We managed the full walk today as we were all feeling recovered. Nothing unusual happened. I tried to have a fight with two dogs during our journey, but grandma would not let me. I was so bad tempered on one occasion that grandma smacked me and called me a naughty boy. Well I cannot be good all the time can I? I didn’t even feel the smack so that’s not going to make many changes! We got back home and had food, drink and a rest, and guess what, just for a change we sat in the sunshine in the garden. WUF Alfie stays inside most of the time – a bit like granda, but me and grandma love the sun and could stay out in it all day. I heard grandma telling grandad that my mam and dad and Makenzie are coming home tomorrow. I’m excited about that, although I will miss my walk through the parks when I go home. Grandma says this is probably the last walk today, as dad is coming about lunch time. I am not very happy about that. She could get up early and take me out. The rest of the evening went by and we had a good time in the garden. Playing, eating, drinking and just generally enjoying the sunshine. The sun went in – it seems to do that every day, and grandma decided it was time to go indoors as she was getting quite thirsty. We settled down, watched tele and when bed time came granda went first and the settling down bit was left to grandma. When I went out for my last wee, grandma said ‘are you going to be a good boy and come back when I call, or do I have to put your lead on’ LEAD ON, IN THE GARDEN. Is she kidding me. I will see how I feel, that’s all I can promise. WUF Well, I’m all tucked up and settled down now. It’s still quite early but I want to go to sleep so that the time passes more quickly – like when santa comes. I intend to dream all night about mam dad and Makenzie coming back tomorrow. Wonder what they have for me?
